diff widths... tape measure anyone?

how does a 60 series front diff and an 80 series front diff measure up against each other?

can anyone do a hub to hub measurement for me if they have either laying around?

If i recall correctly a 60 diff is 3 inches wider than a 40 diff and a 80 diff is about 2.5 inches wider than a 60 diff .

80 series diffs are 1600mm wide flange to flange where the wheel bolts to.
