has any one ever put a turbo 1hz in to a soft top fj40?
how hard was it to do ?
is there room to put a 5 speed gear box and t case out of a 80?
if so did any cross member have to be moved and what about the tail shaft?

Look up "Stoive" on this site. From memory he installed a 1HZ (don't know if it was turbo or not) into a BJ40. Funnily enough it is a soft top although I'm not entirely sure how much difference that makes to the conversion. :D

if you wanted to you could run the box from a 75 series if you did not turbo it
they are very similar in size to the 4 speed and runs the spit case so you could use a trans brake
and would fitt easier than the masive h150
plus most h150 have full time
80 series 1980 hilux cab supra twin turbo engine
1hdfte 80 series
LHD fz 80 series GX
