just wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on cutting guards,
Im looking to cut the guards on my RRC 81 model because my 33inch muddies rub.

Is it as simple as everyone is telling me?
I was wanting to have a lip on it like the original one due to thats were my rubber flares fix to, is this to much to ask?
Also is there such thing as a template to follow?
whats the best wepons of choice?

ok Having a lip is a bit more tricky.
Mark your line clearly were you want to cut and with a 4/5 inch grinder use the very thin cutting discs and cut ya life away. Really that easy.
Problem with lipping the guard line is you will flake the paint off the guard.

I used a jig saw when I did mine. Just marked it out to suit my flares but left on an extra 10-12 mm and folded that up. I just worked along bending a little at a time . Think it took me about 4 or 5 passes to get it to 90 degrees . I didn't bother but if you have a heat gun you may be able to soften the paint as you go and it may not crack.

Cheers

Also, if you were to make cuts every couple of inches that run from the wheelarch into the flare line, it'd probably make it a little easier to bend. Not buggering the paint is where it gets tricky though.

I've used both a jigsaw and a grinder, found the jigsaw gives a much neater cut, but you need to be able to hold the panel to stop it flapping....
