TD42 and LPG injection
TD42 and LPG injection
I am considering LPG injection for my TD42 patrol and was wondering if anyone has had experience in this and how it compares to a turbo?
Re: TD42 and LPG injection
Have a highly modified GQ, but with the smaller RD28T engine, still puts out around 250hp/500nm.GaryS wrote:I am considering LPG injection for my TD42 patrol and was wondering if anyone has had experience in this and how it compares to a turbo?
Have both gas injection and water/methanol injection kit, both works well, I bought the gas kit some years before the W/M-kit, if I should choose between the two, my pick would be W/M-kit. You get more power but EGT stays the same, not so with gas injection, slightly less powergain than W/M, and at a higher egt level.
gas is good.
im very happy with the DGAS on mine
i didnt put it on til after a turbod it, the EGTS would be very high without a turbo and adding gas i think and i wouldnt do it.
the water/meth is good, until it floods the motor, which isnt hard in a diesel to hydraulic lock it, then u have bent rods etc...
