How to get this off - 2.8d oil pump cover?

Post by VKYOOT »

Hey

Just tryin 2 rip this jigger off one engine and put it onto another for the purpose of having the turbo feed line.

Just wondering

A. is it safe to rip it off without anythin goin out whack? (if its a silly question its coz im new to diesels)
B. How the hell do i get it off, ive undon all the bolts but it seems stuck by some hidden force( obviously the bolts are not out in the pic, this is a different motor....same cover tho).

thanks in advance for any help

i just took mine off on the weekend gone, there was a bolt behind where the filter sat on mine, after all the bolts were undone all we had to do was give it a bit of persuasion with a hammer and flat head screwdriver to loosen it off.

Edit: the 4 nuts on the cooler you dont have to undo as they hold the fins on behind the cooler :)

Cheers,
Corey

there's a 12mm bolt that is threaded to the right hand side of the filter (when your looking at it on from the drivers side)

Pull the filter of and undo the bolt it's a long one.
