You sure it hasnt got extractors or a air pod? These 2 things will make it sound alot more grunty. :)

yer pretty positive it has nothing done to the exhaust
it had a stock air filter in it which i changed the other day
acctualy made a noticeable power increase
was suprising
runs way smoother to
but didnt reali change the noise to much
but yer even b4 i changed the filter it still sounded reali grunty

( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.

yeahhhh i found that removing the cat makes a huge difference as in power wise but wen i spent $600.00 bucks on the extractors n the exhusrt it made a hude diffrence up hills so its worth it n they sound so loud :)

Is it legal to take the cat off? And how do you do it?

nope not at all legal as with almost any mod however it is quite hard for a cop to notice if you just cut the inside out of the stock cat.

other wise you need to have a 'test pipe' made up whch just replaces the bit of the exhaust where the cat is (maybe a foot long) with pipe

just be careful with knocking out your cat's...

if the EPA catches up with you its something like a $10,000 fine because its a vital part of the emission system
