hey all another Q besides my probs with my spoa lift, i have a set of vitra diff. 5.11 gears- would they be any good to put in my zook(1.3 staned all the way) i have 235/75/15 on it. would it give my gearing like transfur gears would???? hope to hear from u soon...

it will probably make it rev a little too high on the road/highway.Cant remember the revs mine used to do with 31's but it was sorta high.In the bush it was acceptable but could of been a little lower.So with your 235s you might be right,all depends on what sort of driving you do mate?

Are you going bigger tyres with spoa?

No, it won't give your car gearing like transfer case gears, and it will be revving too high on the highway.

5.12 diffs are great, but only at compensating for a really large tyre on road.

They are around 40% shorter than your current gears.

If you are doing 3200 rpm @ 100km/h now, you'll be spinning 4400rpm with 5.12s.

And your crawl ratio will only improve 40% - that's not enough to warrant all the install work. 41.3:1 with 5.12's, vs 29.8:1 stock.

The tallest transfer case gears will give you 62:1 crawl, and be a much closer match to your 28" tyres for on road correction too.
