anyone know what a rebuild kit is worth for a hilux 2.8d, also wat does it cost to get a toyota ct-20 turbo rebuilt and hi-flowed.

I know it cost Toyota almost $4500 to rebuild mine under warranty because the #!** who had it b4 me blew an oil seal and seized the engine, got it going and sold it!!

try Geoff Walsh Engine Parts and SMS diesel for rebuild parts/kits for the 3L motor.

no idea on prices but don't expect them to be cheap.



the toyota turbos and especially the CT20 pretty much aren't worth rebuilding and/or high-flowing - I'm sure there are shops that would do it but you're far better off getting a new or second hand garrett/mitsubishi/schwitzer unit. expect to pay into the four-figures for high-flowing and new bearings/seals through, compared with about $400 - $600 to pick up a decent used turbo from an importer.
