I assume your talking about a rear axle, I have found anytime I am pulling an axle that has been in place for some time a slide hammer makes life alot easier.blettres1 wrote:Hi all so its a 1993 Paj and i have snaped one of the wheel nuts. You very seldom have to pull an axle to replace a stud. Remove the wheel and brake drum or disc. Using a punch drive out the broken stud making sure you have space behind. Put new stud in from behind and using a wheel nut and some old washers or a socket as a spacer tighten and draw the new stud into the axle flange and reassemble. Just did one on my NL in about 15 minutes.
