end of year group buy for HID kits

Post by on4tou »

Hi guys, we are offering a group buy for outers memebers. We know times are tuff and everyone is after a better bargain, and we figure if sell more we can afford to make them cheaper.
We are offering a 35w standard kit with a 12 month full replacement warranty (on globes and ballasts) for $154- or $185 for the slim line ballast kits with a 18 month full replacement
A 55w kit also with a full 12 month replacement warranty for $165- or $210 for the slim line ballast kits with a 18 month full replacement these work from 9v to 24v

The globes are all uv cut (so they won't discolour your lenses) and are manufactured by phillips. The globes and ballasts are all mud and water proof (just don't take them deep sea diving, we sell torches for that) and they have a less than 0.7% failure rate.
We need a minimum of 10 confirmed (payment received) orders to offer this price and if we get more than 20 we may be able to reduce the price a bit more.
Post or PM me if you are interested. (or just let me know if there is another HID product you would prefer me to souce as a group buy for you.)

Steve,
Spoke to you once previously about fitting HID globes to Lightforce 140's, apparently it wasnt recommended due to heat dispersement issues.

I see lightforce now have their own kit for 140's- so whats the deal?
if it works, i'm in. And could you advise if the globes would be interchangeable if i upgrade to 170's later?

let me know if you are able to help ;)

I still wouldn't fit a 55w kit to the 140's i just thing that the reflector size is to small to get a any real benifit from it but the 55w kit work ACE in the 170's and yes the kit will fit the 170's

yes we have a 35w slim kit that will fit in side the XGT unfortunatly the 55w ballast are just a bit big to fit
for the headlights our kit start at $220 and go up to about $750 give me a ring and i will sort some thing out as we have about 6 kits for the headligts
Are there any pics of the 2 different ballasts?
yes i will post them up

a lot of you have expressed interest so if you want in and haven't heard from us, pm us your email address and we'll get an invoice to you. We already have over 10 kits so will probably shut the offer down soon.
Still trying to post those pics for you.
Cheers

If anyone's a bit cautious, these are great kits Steve is selling. Fitted 55W 5000K normal ballast kits to a set of Lightforce XGTs and Lightforce 170 Strikers. Installation was simple; a bit nerve-wracking cutting into expensive lights, but simple nonetheless.

This is the result  Night photo doesn't do justice to the light these throw - I could make out detail in the trees alongside the road to beyond the second reflector. 5000k is a lovely light to drive by too - pretty much the same as daylight, and no strain on the eyes at all.

is this still being offered? and how do you adapt the kits to the 170's? Does it matter what light manufacturer you are using or is it just the size?

Hi guys,
Just got back from from cliffhanger. Drove through the night so we are still tying to catch up there. Lights have been ordered and are ready to be shipped but we didn't want them arriving while we were at Cliffhanger. (This is a must do for every competitor in the country, what an ace week. Check out the thread if you havent already. We had such a blast) If you still want in on the group buy pm us and we'll see what we can do. We did order a couple of extra kits at the cheaper price, so we should still be able to help you out.
Will update you in a couple of days when my brain is back to its normal non functioning self.
Thanks for keeping all updated Beaut ute (Gill couldn't get the wireless working on the laptop to get internet access at camp using Hobbzee and Rudis booster. And our wireless internet only worked intermittently up on the hills, and thanks Moph for the kind words.
Cheers

Steve, you may not have got the pm I sent you after talking to you on the phone on Monday morning if your computer has turned up its toes.
Here's a copy of the pm.
Regards Andrew.

Hi Steve, it's Andrew Williams here.
I was talking to you this morning (Monday) about getting an HID kit to suit my Hella Rallye 4000's.
As per our conversation I'd like to order slimline ballasts 55W HID in 5000K to suit the Hella's.
My email address is awill4x4@hotmail.com
Regards Andrew.

Great guy and awesome Products, I too was at Cliffhanger, met Steve know and now know most of the competitors were running his lights.
He even donated a HID torch to the local Bush fire brigade

As a Marshall I was often on the receiving end of those lights.....F$*%^%g Bright I tells ya!!

I'll be getting some soon for myself ;)
