Is there any particular part of a serria 1.3 I should water proof really well before mud racing? I was just planning to grease plugs coil ect. I will not be running a tarp or any thing on front.

With the mods you are taling about thats all I ever did on mine .. never had an issues with water ingress to the motor (I added a snorkle)
But with some di-electric grease on the important parts and quaility plug leads ... never had a problem holding 7000rpm

check the seal around the carby / air inlet - getting mud in there is a bit of a no no.

it could be worth while putting something over the radiator to keep it at least a little bit clean? Or at least make sure the fan isn't going to rip into it once it touches water.

ya don't need bungs. its much more fun when the water starts flooding in. besides it leaves just as quick after your out of the water.
