winch mounting

Post by fiftyfrenzy »

hey just after a bit of help i have got one of those aldi winches. But i am having trouble mountingit . Can i rotate the clutch leaver to face upwards when the winch is mounted to the bar???,
as it is making things very hard to install and will be difficult to operate as it is at the moment ( at the moment its facing in towards the radiator).

just need some advice on how i can rotate the winch around...
Have been looking throught a 4wd action winch instalation write up and dosnt say anything about rotating winch but i have heard of it. but cant find any info on it.

cheers guys

usualy the bolts holding it to the drum are undone, then its taken off and rotated then put back on where you want it

You can move the control box to under the bonnet if you like and extend the wiring, just did this in my sierra and extended lines by about 2'.
