Best seats to put into 75series

Post by Barno111 »

Went for a trip on the weekend, and i ended up in my truck for around the 9 hours both days. And after the second day my back was killing me! Now i still have orginal seats in my HZJ75 and im wondering are there any seats out there that bolt straight into were the old ones go? If not which is the best and easiest seat to make up rails and that for? Or am i best just to scrap the idea of putting seats out of another car in, and bite the bullet, pay a couple of hunderd a seat for racing seats and get bolt on kits for them?

Cheers Barno

I put Maxima seats in mine, real comfortable. Just used factory toyota rails. Adapted the seats onto them via some 50x5 flat, welded to maxima seat body but drilled holes to suit the rails, so they can be removed and toyota ones put back in at any time.

Then try out some honda seat they are nize... here in sweden evry kid (almost) drives a bmw so its easy to get some interior parts... tends to try out the offroad capability and its pore in a bemer...
and if you find some saab aero with lether seats go for it.. heated in winter and a fan to keep them cold in sommer times...

If youre going to put VZ seats in a troopy, I can assure you that youre comfort level is going to go through the roof. Couldnt think of anything better other than 1200 dollar seats of some sort.
