Hi guys
1990 GQ patrol TD42
i have had a DTS turbo and DTS full 3 inch exhaust inc dump pipe fitted for 3 years.
I have procrastinated over this issue for 3 years;
The dump pipe seems to have very minimal clearance with the clutch slave cylinder bracket/heat shield. The manifold and dump pipe bolts are all tight and everything appears to be in its place.
Does anyone else have this issue? would some of you with DTS kits be able to tell me how much clearance you have on your set up? The dump pipe is also very (<10mm) close to the edge of the gearbox - as seen further up in the photo.
any comments appreciated
Thanks

TD42 - DTS turbo dump pipe clearance issues
mine sists in the same position, the heat shiel touches the exhaust, never had any dramas in the 100,000ks except when towing through hils with a car trailer and a GQ ute on the back,
in the end i had a washer pump rigged up to spray the slave before the hill and the clutch was fine, if i didnt spray it i couldnt get any gears,
it was only a prob about twice a year.
id geat a new dump pipe made that angled forwards a bit

it may not cause any issues straight away, but it is substandard work.
