Post by pauly990 »

HI ALL,

I'VE AN FJ40 WITH 308, AND I'M HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CLUTCH DISENGAGING WHEN PUSHING PEDAL IN. IT TAKES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR TO BE ABLE TO PUT IT INTO GEAR...... I ASKED A GUY AT WORK TODAY AND HE SAID I HAVE TO GET A DIFFERENT SLAVE CYLINDER TO THE STOCK FJ40 6CYL ONE I HAVE!!!! IS THIS TRUE??

ALL HELP AND SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED.

THANKS

PAUL

Try a longer drive pin between the slave cylinder and clutch fork first, to test this simply put a suitable size nut between the pin and fork to add pin length and trial, or cut a bolt down about 20mm longer than the existing pin and see of it goes.

Alternatively get the local brake and clutch place to sleeve down your slave cylinder a size.

Cheers
