Post by SIMMO84 »

As stated is the a form or a guide to apply for a bodylift. Its for genuine reasons not just to fit tyres or look tuff  Have searched and I couldnt find anything. Thanks in advance for the replies.

Thank you that is exactly what I was after. Ive only had a quick look at those forms but did you have to take the vehicle to QLD transport for a final inspection?

Yep, took mine in for the inspection this week and they stamped/signed off on it all......Vehicle has to be 100% roadworthy....even on my 3 month old hilux they did brake tests, checked all lights etc.

Also they were booked out about 6 weeks in advance.

Ok just had another look and looks like you had to have something signed off for it all to be legit after work was completed?

Yep, that first page of the approval letter is now stamped and signed off, and I have to keep it in the glove box in case I ever get pulled over.

Doubt they would, as there is no reason for them to need/want do it (until its registered). Wont hurt asking but I guess?

you can get the approval for an unregistered truck, keep in mind thou that queensland transport will need to inspect it before it is registered so it will need to be 100% roadworthy. get the letter of approval can sometimes be the easy part, getting it stamped can be another
