Just want to say G'Day to ya'll !
My name is Karsten, I'm from southern Germany and own a 91 LWB 260 which is known as an MQ in Oz. The 260's were built in Spain until the late '90 with the RD28T. Mine is lifted 4" with some extra leafs and rides on 255/85-16's on the stock 6x16 wheels. The cab is converted to a camper with space for two to sleep in and 6 seats.
I've been all the way down from Darwin to Perth in a rented Troopi a couple of years ago and will return there as soon as I can afford it again. Meanwhile my trips are mostly to the north african Sahara where we raced a GQ and GU in the 2002 Chott Sahara Rallye finishing 5th and 8th in our classes and me flying back directly into hospital with suspision of a broken spline after a crash with the GU which was driven home to Germany on it's own wheels afterwards.
