Detroit Lockers

Post by bakerboy »

does anyone know if they are available for the front diff of an NG pajero 3L V6 manual

if anyone has one, whats your experience been like with them

ps im only chasing info on the detroit, i know the lokka is cheaper and pretty much the same thing, but i can get a detroit for pretty much the same price as a lokka through work, so would prefer the detroit

cheers guys

In the FAQ, under the section titled "Lockers" there are two links:

Front Detroit Locker
Front Detroit Locker Update

I suspect they will answer your questions.

You would be better off going an ARB as the cost will be very similar to a custom Detroit and that's if Andrew at Geelong Diffs still does them (mine cost me about $1500 fitted many years ago).
If $$$$ are tight go the Lokka especially for a manual hubbed Gen 1.
IMHO having had both a front Detroit and ARB I would go the ARB every single time. I had the Detroit softlocker variant which was meant to unlock much easier than the standard version - but those off camber clay slide slopes were a bitch...................
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"
