For uses other than just an airlocker as well.

Endless air

will pump around 8psi per min (around that anyway) So you can run air tools off it as well as air locks and pumping up tyres.

I will be fitting one of these to both my lux and cruiser within the next couple of months.

Price is around $320.00 I think.

Also Snake Racing is now a distributor or will be very soon if not yet.

Damn i didn't realise i was the first to post.

I went for other, however you could not go wrong with the ARB, i us one for my HAULTECH TRACTION CONTROL.

The other i was thinking of and have used and still do is a POWER TANK set up. I use C02 in a bottle with a regulator, it will blow up a 35 bogger from 3psi to 20 psi in about 15 seconds, now thats fast!!!!

However it does cost $20.00 to get a bottle filled and it last for quite a while, I have pumped up 20 tyres (as above) and used the rattle gun to undo the wheel nuts on about half those times and i still have air left.

I carry it as a quick way of pumping up tyres and resetting beads.

$320 for the pump(which is the same as a $40 Saden508 from the wreckers)

If its like the ads in the mags, then you have to add nearly the same $$ for the moiunting kit... Ive called a few places and its up around $500-600 for the complete thing for a GQ.

Not an ARB if mine cacks itself (damn well sounds like it sometimes) I'd go a Big Red or Endless Air. I already have an air tank (bout the size of an ambo's O2 bottle) so there's plenty of volume to run the locker.

I run the same as Hayden, although my reg was a cheaper version that runs at around 100 psi, which I got through Hayden. The only real downside to this system is that it is limited air, although you get a lot of tyres out of 10kg, and you have to find somewhere to mount the tank.

The ARB works pretty well, and will air up my 34inch Jungle Trekkers from 10 to 28psi in around 3-4 minutes each. The Co2 will do the same in around 10-15 seconds.

I've got an ARB & while it's not bad it is whimpy.
If you want to be able to run air tools - forget the ARB & most of the other 12v compressors.
Engine drive is where you want to be.
I have just recently bought a 210 York compressor from a wrecked 80's volvo for $50....
The 210 York puts out 10cfm @0PSI and a nearly as much at 30PSI....Whereas a 12v suffers much more CFM drop as the PSI increases....
I still need to get the brackets etc made, but I figure the cheaper starting price and a little planning myself will make it inline with a 12v in cost but far better in performance...rattle gun here I come
