Questions?

Post by macka »

I am a newbie and looking for some tips what sort of rust protection should I use on a new GXL landcruiser would straun and lanotec be used as well as an electronic type ? And what types work? Also considering having professional done as well!
Also interested in what oil to use in Turbo diesl and any other tips for begineers?
Also want to find out if it is advisable to tow a offroad caravan up to the Cape Overland TL or just go up the development road?
Thanks in advance

I definately recommend getting it done professionaly. Go to a reputable place, these guys spray the shit everywhere( i know because i have to remove it quite often to repair and paint) and most will offer some sort of warranty. Doing it yourself is a bastard of a job. You will get more on yourself, your shed and your floor/driveway than on the truck!

yeah go for a chemical rust prevention treatment and have it repeated at 2 or 3 yearly intervals. the electronic ones are, in my opinion, a gimmick.

cheers
