what guage

hi, what type of boost guage do i need for a 2008 gu commonrail 3ltr. manual ( tubed type ) or electrical ? thanks, steve.

Same same really. I've found the mechanical ones easier to diagnose faults with, and are a bit more responsive than electronic units. I've never had any issues with the mechanical type.

Make sure you get a decent one - no cheap chinese crap. Get a brand name (VDO, Speco, Autometer etc)

You need one that goes to 30PSI.
I run the Autometer one. Matches the EGT gauge too.
GU Patrol with go better bits added

So Autometer is pretty good and accurate for a brand then???

I've looked at them in Repco etc and they are way cheaper than VDO or anything...which just made me think they were dodgy :roll:

If not then i'll feel better about buying a water temp and oil pressure gauge.

Where is the best place in Brissy to get the guages fitted?
2002 GU 3lt wagon 5" lift, reduction gears, 35" MTZ...
'94 Suzuki Sierra SWB 5" lift, 30" MT 's and a winch to pull the bigger trucks through....

lol funny, autometer was one of the most inaccurate pieces of SHlT tested, its popular because muzzas and ricers use them due to their finish.....pretty sure autospeed had a thorough test.
