Long Range Fuel Tanks - US model - what the difference?

I've been told by the ARB people here in the US that the Pajero Long Ranger fuel tank wont fit US models. Wondering if anyone has one of these and if they might know what exactly the difference is.

My guess is something to do with the frame - but could it be modified?

How many liters/gallons does it hold? Does the rest of the stock stuff - pump, fuel level sending unit, etc bolt right up? Does the fuel gauge remain accurate?

Any other suppliers of these tanks?

I'm not aware of any differences, fuel fillers are on the same side etc.
ARB, TJM & Opposite Lock sell them. I don't think they actually manufacture them but are agents.
There are a few smaller companies that manufacture and sell them, Long Range Automotive & Brown Davis Automotive.
I know Brown Davis will build a tank to your specs to cater for a body lift or thicker steel etc.
For the lwb a 148 ltr tank is available.
They re-use all the original fuel tank gear (sender, wires etc).
Your fuel gauge works as before but when you fill up say the 148 ltr tank your gauge will say full until you get to the 92ltr (original tank size) then the gauge will drop. Basically it's still calibrated to the original 92ltr tank size.

Don't know about US specs on I assume the Montero however on my NM Pajero have a 60l (tops up at 51l) Long Ranger fitted by ARB snuggly in front of the Hayman Reece Towbar under the third row seatwell. A duel fuel filler has been fitted into the standard filler point. A pump controlled from a switch in the cabin takes about 30mins to transfer the fuel to the main tank. Another switch changes the dashboard fuel gauge from the main to the auxillary tank. The auxillary callibration is not working correctly and I need to get it fixed.
