hey iv got a shorty with a tb42 in it with 215000. sounds like yours has had a good run, i just picked up a rolled wagon for 1500 with a td42 which i will freshen up and turbo. if you keep an eye and ear out you might be lucky enough to pick up the same type of deal. u could always rebuild the petrol as they are very basic and fairly cheap to rebuild

hi mate

an injected head will fit no dramas.
gaskets, piston rings and bearings, any spare parts store should beable to order them in, try roodogs on EBay, he is pretty good at sourcing stuff.

yes the box physically bolts up, you need to put an extra hole in for the diesel starter.

you will need to carry over bits like the TPS to the diesel engine

if you ask me, refresh your LPG tb42 and continue on your way, your most cost effective economy and performance wise choice.

td42 non turbo LPG is a waste of time i think.

my mate has a td42 taftermarket turbo running 13 psi and my tb42 kicks it arse. a petrol motor will always have more power than a diesel. a fairly good power output for a diesel is about 160 kwats thats with injector pump worked and fair $$$ where you could strait gas turbo a petrol motor and have over 200kwats at the wheels for under 2 gs. it all depends what you want to do with it and what you want to spend. im also after fuel economy and reliability so thats why im leaning towards the diesel
