diff options

Post by GURU »

G'day all,

trying to decide what setup will be best for me diff wise, currently have maxi drive 4.1 ratio on a disco centre but 10 spline

I want to run at least a rear locker and would like a front one day.

But I would like to know how strong my 4.1's really are, if I fit a maxi drive locker to the rear the CW & P become the weak link. is the 4.88 hi lux ratio stronger than the 4.1's I ahve ??

If so i think doing a hi lux conversion could be an option, fit an ARB locker and JacMac axles

My RR is a daily driver, want to make it strong enough to run 35's and do abit of comp work, main plan is to use it for long trips running 33's. I'm even thinking maybe a ARB locker and disco 24 spline axles in the rear and maxi front axles leaving the front short axles and the disco rear axles as weakest link

any other ideas?
