last night was out on the logan night run, and had the stereo going, uhf on, high beams and a set of hella spotties going. i came up to a hard section and stalled halfway up a climb, went to hit the starter and nothing, no click or anything, still had all interior lights, headlights etc.
my mate jumped out and shorted it out and said that it had bugger all spark.
so drove around the rest of the night (2.5hrs) with only the low beams and keeping the revs up to try and charge it but i stalled it again later, and once again, no go whatsoever, had to get roll started again.
managed to get out alright, drove home (20mins) on the freeway, pulled up in the driveway, switched it off, then back on and it fired perfectly and hasn't given me any probs today
anyone know what the drama could be?
just a lot of draw on the little battery from running so much off it with not much revs or what?

A bigger alternator would be a good place to start, and also ask about appropriate pulley sizes. Putting a smaller pulley on the front of the alternator will make it turn faster, giving you more current at lower engine speeds, but the trade-off is the risk of spinning it too fast at high engine speeds. Make sure the auto-elec knows your requirements.
