i am doing a conversion from a tb42 to a td 42t i would just like to know what has to be done to use my original gearbox and do the diff ratios have to be changed

either drill and tap a hole for the starter motor or get a diesel bellhousing, u can keep the petrol box, 4.1 diff gears will be fine. wat size tyre are you running?
85 hi top drover, 31s, 2 inch exended shackles 2 inch bl.
88 tb42 swb mav,35 claws, 4 inch lift

yes 4.1s will be fine. i run 35s with 4.1s it turns em fine but 4.6's would be better
