Iroks vs Treps

Post by 308LUX »

Ok so looking at running either 37 x 14 iroks or 38" x 14 treppadores on my dualcab hilux...

These will be used purely on a weekender rig so will still see road use too and from the tracks...

Looking for comparisons on the too tyres from those that have run these tyres...

post up your thoughts on wear rates, and grip on different surfaces also

As far as I know the trepador doesn't come in a 38 inch and none are 14 inches wide. You can get the creepy crawler in that size.

treps are the best tyre ever. they just wear out like the quickest tyre ever on road.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

Comp spec Treps all the way (road to & from tracks don't know ??). Sticky Iroks are supposed to be excellent also but don't compare to the ability of Treps crawling up the side of a rock with no traction under tyre , it is amazing how the treps can do this. You've only got to see the side lugs to know what I mean.
Treps only come in sizes 37" then 40" nothing inbetween.

yeah not really gonna be running in comps so the sticky compound is out...

gathering that the iroks would be a better allrounder seeing roads to and from tracks and the treps probably wear out quicker but perform a little better

the road compound treps will last longer than an irok and be a great allrounder IMO.
