I'm wanting to change all the fluids in the cruiser. Everything. Diffs, box, xfer, engine, brakes, radiator... I am after some opinions on what I should be putting in there. I want some good protection from wear, and preferably long lasting, and not ridiculously expensive. Some less friction to allow a little more power/economy would be a bonus :)

Seems you should only put DOT 3 brake fluid in from Toyota.Anything else wears seals out.More info on the LCOOL forums

There have been a number of threads on this, do a search for VMX-M, J-Max, Dot 3, LSX-90, Delvac.

In short:
Engine - Castrol J-Max, RX Super, or Caltex Delo 400
Gearbox - VMX-M
Transfer - VMX-80
Diffs - Lim Slip for rear, normal for front
Brake Fluid - Dot 3 only, Toyota is the same price as other brands
Coolant - Toyota Long Life Red
Grease - Moly grease for CV's, a good quality HTB grease for shafts/wheel bearings, and some white lithium/graphite powder for latches, strikers etc.
