Has any body done this and will i have to use the gq gearbox and diffs or will the mq 5 speed bolt up to the 4.2 turbo motor, my mq ute is a little underpowered as i tow a big trailer and was thinking about keeping the ute its in really good condition or should i just buy a gq ute thanks for your help
92 gq lwb 4.2 efi cheezy winch bar ,10000 tjm winch ,custom rear tube bar , rock sliders, 35 bfg muds = plenty of battle scars !
Nothing is the same, its all completely different.
Also the transmission tunnel in the GQ is a different shape to the MK so you might have issues fitting the later trans in there. The MK is flat & wide while the GQ is a lot thinner but much taller.
