transaxle numbers

Post by sw1 »

hi all
just curious about transaxle numbers. my pathy has 'FS5W71C HG48'

the first bit is the transmission - t case combo. the second bit is about the diffs, which is the confusing bit, no where in my searching can i find any record or info about the HG48.

any one shed any light?

The HG bit on the GQ/GU's is the diff gearing ie I have a GQ it says HG41. Which means it has 4.1:1 difff gears (CW&P).

Factory 4.8's now that would be sweet if they fit in the GQ's :D
