does it dry/evaporate like water? or does it stay there like oil or something?

I pumped all my uni's full of grease and had the same effect. but it seems strange if there is no leaks as such?

It's most likely oil, being sprayed from somewhere up front - could be anywhere.
I had a similar case with my old FJ45 ute - i had those drops on the BACK of the tailgate - as in where you would put stickers on your tailgate - and all over the diff. Turned out it was the gasket for the 4spd output shaft/transfer input ( sorta cone-shaped like a tea cup) a mate had helped me and put this aprt back on, folded one corner of the gasket without realising. Leaked like mad when driving, but not when sitting still as there is no static oil up there when sitting still.

Diff breather clogged? could be spitting from your pinion seal when getting hot due to pressure but not when sitting still?

See how you go

Check the back of the transfer where the metal cup/seal is.

Mine was doing exactly the same thing, wouldn't leak when still, only under load.
If its not upside down and on fire, I'm not trying hard enough.......

I get power steer fluid all the way back there when I've been working it hard at speed. Doesn't leak day-to-day.

(I can't see the pic very clearly)

thanks for the input fella's,

yeah it doesnt dry/evaporate, sorta stains it, but yes my transfercase is leaking and aroudn the gearbox underneath is too, but thats afair difference to spray, like it doesnt get on the links or anything, rear diff breather isnt connected, pinionseal seems to be fine from what i remember but will have a look tomorrow .
thanks for the ideas peoples.

If it's the pinion seal there'll be a spray of oil fanning across the underside of the body too - easy tell-tale to see if that's what it is.

Not to mention the wind underneath the car and the oil hitting the tailshaft.
