Just got a nissan patrol GU tb48 engine from the wreckers. It came with no coils. I have two options fit after market or orginal coils. After market would be good but more messing about to get them fitted. The spark plugs are set a long way down into the head with no drain holes. Water getting down there could be a problem. Are there any leads and spark plug caps that come with seals to suit the nissan head.
Genuine coils are $250 each 'ouch' second hand $105. Any idea if the coils are fitted to this engine only or are they used on several different engines ? Coils from another model maybe cheaper to source.
