Fuel problem- 1HZ - HZJ75

Post by howesy »

Have twin 90lt tanks. On both tanks filled at different locations you will be driving along and all of a sudden there is nothing, no fuel. You put your foot flat down 4 a brief moment and it starts delivering fuel again and its back to normal until next time. I have already changed the fuel filter and because it does it on both tanks filled at different places I would say probably not fuel contamination.
Have any of you seen something similar before. ???

Thanx guys

Top of your filter housing may be leaking air into the system.

Makes sense I was going to get all new clamps for lines right back through but didnt think of the primer unit itself. I was going to go aftermaket see through so now might be a good time to change over.

Thanks for the input.
