As far as I know IFS vented rotors dont fit.
IFS and SA are different offset discs and slightly different diam too I think.
You can buy vented or even slotted and vented discs from DBA though.

veterd discs

Post by toysuzi »

venterd discs cool faster so less chance off brake fade (boiled brake fluid)
also longer life outta discs + pads
evern better get venterd & slotterd rotors better cooling & cleaner pad to discs surface area (self cleaning slots)
as the brake pad burn on discs surface creates gases the slotterd rotors allows the gas to escape less chance of brake noise

60series discs diameter 302mm thickness 20mm offset 49mm std discs DBA brand $70.00 trade. DBA venterd/slotterd $105.00 trade ad 22% for retail
fj40 fj60 fj 75 etc + 8/88 to 7/97 rn105 ln106 yn106 etc all run the same DBA-151 also

early 80series is only 286mm diameter
late 80series 311mm diameter
v8 lexus (100series) 312mm diameter
late 6cyl 322mm diameter

get landcruiser fj60 discs part number DBA-151
use ifs surf/ 4runner calerpers
it all bolts strait up

ifs discs are the rong offset for ur hilux calerper bracket by 17mm

I just went down this pass last week with the SAS on my Surf. The donner diff was a early model with solid discs.
I went to Auto1 and bought vented discs for a 96 lux (last of the solid fronts) for $50 each. Wreckers quoted me $70 for old second hand discs ????
I used my IFS hubs on the diff with a M&M spacer kit and the new discs. This gave me the same track as the rear IFS diff. I used my old IFS calipers but they didnt spin when mounted (they touched the disc on 1 side). We then had to split the caliper and machine 2mm off 1 face and re assemble.
As well as the discs having a different offset and not interchangable, the stud pattern , hole sizes are different too. The solid axel discs have the wheel studs going through them and the IFS discs only have 8 or 10mm bolts through them.

Cheers,

Alec

If you already have the IFS discs, I read somewhere how you can fit them to solid axle for a similar effect to the widetrack kit.
But, as has been said, the vented SA discs are prolly a bit better.

Hey daryl, do you know if 100 series Cruiser master cylinder bolts up to 1990 Hilux? I recall you saying somewhere that 80 series does and it gives beeter braking feel... just that there is a 100 series at my local wreckers which is handy.

Sorry for thread hijack 4sum4.

what Iv`e got are 85 IFS rotors I can fit them buy using the IFS hubs and making the spacer to suit,I`ll only have to drill 6 holes
but I wasn`t sure if the caliper would bolt up but as mentioned before it won`t by a far bit so I`ll just put them in the rear :D
