GU rear calipers

Post by DA22LE »

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if the GU rear calipers are a bolt on to GQ/ Maverick.

I have upgraded the fronts and i need to fix rears as the pin that locates them is a bit worn. Do GU's have a slightly larger rear disc??

Cheers

What setup are you running on the front now Daz?
Some better braking on my one would be good!

what sort of coin did you shell out for the setup. AM intrested in doing the same. Did you have to upgrade the master cyl as well?

I have a feeling that on GU's, the front rotors are 300mm and the rears are 305mm, although the fronts are thicker. I think.... I'm sure i've read that somewhere.

Was just looking for brake pins for a GQ rear, and was told by a brake place that GU and GQ pins and sleeves are not interchangable...

Get on the Pootrol forum and PM gary / Nizzbits, he'll check part numbers and interchangability.

Sorry for the late reply. I picked up the calipers second hand for around the 170 mark i think. $100 for the seal kit each side roughly. Slotted rotors were about $100 each....Add labour on top of that, unless your doing it yourself......

Dont have to do anything to master cyl'....
