I have entered the vin number into the revs check and it says u need a 17 digit number i only have a 10 digit number! What can i do to make sure the car is safe to buy?

Get the complete vin no. As the rev check says, Vin numbers are 17 digits/letters long (unless its a very early model). Read it off the chassis if you can. Tell us what model vehicle it is and someone will tell you where to find it.

I just realized that the revs check only does cars and bikes from 1989+ so they wont have anything from 1975.
