are there any shocks that are suitable for a 2inch shackle and 2 inch leaf spring lift on a 1990 hilux other than ranchos?

and cheapest????

i have raw big bore shocks in front. Bout 220 ea. Think the are landcruiser 1s. And powerdown truck shocks in rear. Bout 100 ea.
88 hilux - 3rz+ locked
04 prado - that has a second home called toyota service dept
94 comp truck hilux - in the making....

Sorry about the hijack, how do you find the powerdowns? Are they the 12 inch travel ones? Ive got a set at work that I was looking at putting in the rear.

yea they arnt to bad. I havnt got my leaf set up very well at the moment. Yea they are 12s

so these power down shocks will be suitable for the 4 inches of lift i want??

3 inches of lift, 2" extended shackles only give 1" of lift.

You want to measure the cycle of the suspension without any shocks in to get a true measurement then go and find a shock that will suit this distance making sure that it is long enough to not hamper travel and not too long to bottom out on compression while being suited to your load carrying requirements.

Not a simple thing to say use XYZ Brand shock

And then you need to consider valving.
