when i had a 3" lift i had to move the front axle forard on the spring perches to avoid tyres rubbing on body. I think it was moved about 30mm forward

you will easily fit them with only a 2in lift

does anyone know if that would be the same for a dual cab 1993 lux?

(fitting 33"s with a 2" lift i mean)

yes i rekon u will be able to fit them. Just under full compression it may rub on the rear part of the front guard..thast where mine rub and ive got a 2"body lift and a suspion lift(3" i think)
but its ok just beat the seam down thats on the gurad to help stop the seam cutting the tyre! bit of rubbing is all good !
Cheers, Hayden!

33's would fit with 2 inch body lift without too many problems ;)

I've got a 92 dual cab with 2" suspension lift and my 235/85R16's (32" equivalent) rub the back of the inner guard under compression. Not a big deal just no paint on that part, it's also noisy when the plastic inner catches. The 33's might catch a bit more especially the extra width. Your standard gearing might struggle a bit as well.

2' of lift only sounds like its just enuf to fit them in, maybe i should lift it by 3' and do a 2' body lift, no rubing then right  my friend rekons i should just go the extra mile and put 35's on, my car would be huge then but probly not legal :?

The Rollux has stock spring hight but it was necessary to fit a 2" body lift for clearance on up travel ( suspention lift will still alow too much up travel )

But The Mongrels proved their worth

I had 33" tyres on the 4runner, Found that they rubbed really bad on the back of the front Guards, if that makes any sense, First time took out cut the crap out of brand new set of tyres, beated the seam flat and stopped from cutting my tyres so bad, that was with 2 Inch suspetion Lift, would go with 2 inch body as well.
