Certinally sound like a broken mount.
Is it twisting or shifting side to side?

might be worthwhile to add an extra mount off the rear of the case
Built, not bought.

Might want to check the locator pins for the gear shifter. There is usually 2, but if one has broken, the gear stick will move all around the place.

You can still make it work by putting the stick into the correct position.
I'm off to get some bread and milk

movement is more side to side than twisting.... i think.... will have another look.

dont think its the stik cause it only seems to do it in low range....
