have check all mounts on engine and box they seem ok
its runnin a 253, but i am assuming should be very little movement.
do the transfer and box only have one mount oin hiluxs?
it is an 88 modle

Certinally sound like a broken mount.
Is it twisting or shifting side to side?

might be worthwhile to add an extra mount off the rear of the case

Might want to check the locator pins for the gear shifter. There is usually 2, but if one has broken, the gear stick will move all around the place.
You can still make it work by putting the stick into the correct position.

thanks fellas, it cant really be torque twist b/c i was only idlein up hill and accel. wen neccarsary.... but will try ther handbrake thing see if that brings any ideas....
movement is more side to side than twisting.... i think.... will have another look.
dont think its the stik cause it only seems to do it in low range....
cheers guys
