IFS rears in Solid front hilux, extended drive shafts ETC
Im looking at putting IFS rear leafs in the rear of my solid front hilux and was wondering if i would need to get an extended tail shaft as it moves the rear diff backwards?
or is the current 1 long enough?
What other problems can arise doing this?
also can i RUF the front without changing my steering?
Thanks in advance, HTH

Thats just it, there's no quick or exact answers. What works for some, others don't like..HTH wrote:was looking for a quick answer, and when u search its so hard to find the exact answer your looking for. i didnt find any info on extending the rear shaft??
Do a LOT of reading and make your own conclusions.
If you'd read the first link to an IFS rears thread, you would have seen that IFS rears are longer in the first half of the leaf by 30mm. Which means, no a driveshaft extension is not necessary when using IFS rears, the extra will be taken up by the slip joint.
you could use a spacer if it's only an inch
Outers & Arms up stickers coming soon you hungry bitches!
