Few questions on 105 series suspension

Post by Feass »

Hey,

I have a HZJ105 with the solid axle front end. I have a 4" EFS lift with steering damper as well. I just bought the car, with the lift already installed.

Just went to Fraser island for a few days, when i got back, i noticed the rear drag link (hub to hub) was rubbing up against the two arms that go from the axle to the chassis? I have never noticed it before, i'm sure they are not meant to be rubbing on each other! I happens on hard lock both ways mainly.

Just wondering what the go is with it?

Perhaps you have castor plates intalled that attempt to keep the original castor settings.. This brings the tie rod closer to control arms.. Maybe you have bad control arm bushings.. Perhaps some drop arms are in order.. Who knows, post up some pics..
