titan rear diffs

Post by sledheadak »

anybody know what rear diff the titan has in it and its width?seems like it would be a good way to have a centered rear diff and also gain rear disks if changing to a centered t-case.

It's a variation of the Dana44, Nissan designation M 226, track width is 67.5". Gears are 2.937:1 and 3.357:1, entirely too high I'd think, but being a D44 variant, it may take other D44 gear sets. Note that with the D44 there is a carrier break, so running the typical high-3.x/low-4.x ratios we have would likely raise this issue:

I don't know if the M 226 diff can interchange the same carrier/centre used in any other D44.

In search of an MQ (offset) H233b rear, housing only preferred, plus a complete GQ or GU front (4.6 ratio ideal) to be shipped to the US. Cheap! Email/PM if you can help.
