I'm trying to talk my mate into SO on his SWB MQ. He says there are some problems doing it. Is this true? The ony hassle I can see is the steering linkage issue. Anyone know how it was solved on that yellow shortster?

TIA

Not too difficult if you know how to weld etc.
The back is a piece of piss just need to make & weld on some new spring perches "snake racing sells these now" on top of the diff, flatten out the springs a bit. relocate the shocks in at the top weld on a new lower shock mount . It sounds like a bit but it's worth it.

The front is a bit harder but basically the same, there's a small amount of grinding of the housing to fit the u bolts, the steering just requires a slight s kink in the bar . because of the flex you need to take a fair bit out of the crossmember for the tailshaft to clear. thats ruffly it.

If you want to know more or more detail I'll get my mate scott to talk to you he has done a few now.

That thing goes anywhere, even further than another mates GQ coil shorty!
It is a good cheap option works as good as coils, he doesn't get stuck very often. :multi: :multi: :multi:

I was thinking of doing a SO on my LWB Patrol, a say that Chaos 4x4 Engineering has a kit, Including a new steering arm and draglink. Anyone know anything about this kit? Good, bad, worth the money?

ha ha, just trying to get some enlightened comment from the likes of yourself... you've been kinda quiet the last couple of days.

I did see the red MQ with the SOA on the Chaos site. Looks like it would be a good old bus, and I am surprised that there aren't more SOA MQs running around.

I'll shoot ya something...
