3.0L V6 Pajero Reduction gears?

Post by Dalluke »

Hey guys,
The paj now has the flex i want and the lift but driving the 33's are a prick on the rocks, I have to ride the clutch way to much to get wheels to turn slowly...

I know Marks does reduction gears for $1190.00, does anyone else make them and how hard are they to fit? I dont want to spend heaps and heaps of $$$ so if there is a cheaper but good quality option or if its an easy DIY that you guys know of, i would love to know!

Thanks guys

AFAIK they are the only ones in the world.. and they are good ;)
Four wheels (Driving) good, two wheels bad.

NP Pajero with added goodness..

I've just fitted 5.29 diffs from a jtop onto my 3.0 SWB, originally 4.875. With 33s, this brings it almost back to factory ratios. And I get a factory locker as a bonus! :)

Factory tyres: 265 75 R15
New tyres: 33 x 12.5 R15 (8.2% larger)

Original diffs: 4.875:1
Replacement diffs: 5.29 (8.5% more reduction)

I guess changing TC gears is probably an easier job, but if you can find some diffs with the right specs, it could be a lot cheaper.

You cant find more reduction gears for axles than 5,29 for less price.I've seen custom 5.71 gears, but price will be about 2000$.
Now i cant choose between supercharger kit or stroker kit.I think it will be better than change gears.
