Since you obviously have power to the hand controller, may I suggest incorporating a 1-3 watt LED torch into the controller so you can see what you are doing at night??? On the same note, using red lights on the controller rather than green will not bugger up your night vision.
Marketing point of difference....

I'd love to see the split parts of the torque limiter.
I reckon it's great. If only I didn't already have a winch
Course it could be better - it could be hydraulic.....
Thanx

Bugger 12,000 - too heavy.
HP counts. lb is just ratio's. Use a pulley block and you get 18,000lb

Of course the suzuki boys love it. It's got a gear for recovering landcruisers and another gear for recovering suzuki's.

0:57 Got hold of the rope point blank and goes to spool out at high speed, but momentarily touches on the spool in button first.
Could be real nasty if you stuffed up the direction.

Chill out, I watched the video again, even if you had hit the wrong button by accident it probably wouldn't be that bad because you didn't have the winch bolted down and it has no tie rod along the bottom to get caught in.
I just hate to see people get complacent about having their hands so close to something that has that much pulling power, especially when it moves as quick as this one does.
Looks like a great unit, though. Merry Christmas.

that winch looks good...whats the price on it compared to the normal tigerz2 winches?

Hey Tigerz
I notice in the vid it stops alomost instantly - electromagnetic braking like my battery drill I take it.
Any details?
Thanx

At the moment they are about $50 dearer then the 12000lb.
You can check out a price comparison here.

Why have the adjustable Tourque Limiter if your telling people to not touch it?

by mmaaxx
I was thinking the same thing....if you had this on a lighter vehicle couldnt you set it lower so as not to overload the unit, just in case...isnt that what its for?

I was thinking that if you had a smaller 4WD and you didn't want to over stress the vehicle.

RUFF wrote:Why have the adjustable Tourque Limiter if your telling people to not touch it?
THE REASON I SAID THAT ,,people who actually know what there doing ,NO PROBLEM ,,but imbosiles loving fidling around with things ..at a guess move it,,, forget that they have moved it ,,never read a manual ,,then say ah mate the winch is crap wont pull anything ,,,,,,,,i have been thru these types of things many times over ,,

LOL Shane do you realise who you are talking to?
Twon's in Newcastle and his "Megatwon" has too much "Bling" as he calls it to work.
And RUFF is "old" (as he put it at lunch the other day) so i doubt he's be keen
