94 discovery 3.9 v8
went through water car stalled started half hour later drove home parked car for a couple of hours went to go somewhere car wouldnt start. Next day a mates mechanic cleanded dizzy cap cleaned airflow meter stuck a test light on coil somewhere car started and drove fine all day. On my way to go piggin left liverpool and made it to richmond rd car stalled Took about 4 goes to fire up. Turned around and made it to a mates at colyton turned car off waited 5 mins tried starting it it fired up straight away. Sat around for a few hours went to jump in it and now it wont strt.
It turns over but wont fire up

If the distributor took a dunk in the water then it could still have some in it. It's not a problem when cold but when it warms up, it condenses on the underside of the cap.
If you can, get the engine warmed up then leave the cap off the distributor for a couple of hours. That should clear the water hopefully.
On a day like this, it should even dry up without warming up the engine.
