gday mate
i hae an 05 jimny im looking at doing the same thing..
it goes in the top right hand side of ur engine bay and if u look on sanke racing i think it is they sell the kit on the for the jimnys but the tray kit is like $175 with out the duel system..
i was looking at supercheap ad they sell a 7" by 15" or 11" tray for like $20 and clamps to hold it for $9 or so and the kit for the the jimny from battery world for 150 thats a cheaper way u will jsut have to mod the tray to sit there either weild or make a bolt on bracket or something to hold the weight of the battery...
thats what i have found when looking into doing mine..

I made the carrier from angle. I currently have a 90 amp hour deep cycle battery in.

If you know someone with a welder the carrier costs nothing/ It's been in for 2 years and hasn't moved. also fitted a solar regulator for the solar panel/ was about $30.00 from Jaycar. It's the black box with green powertech on it
