substitute for auto tranny oil

Post by Duff »

i read the gregory manual and it said that the auto tranny oil needed to be matic D so i went down to repco and saw a 4lt of oil for $65. i then realised that i needed 8.5lt and thought this could be quite expensive.
Is there a cheaper substitute for matic D rated oils

When I changed my autotrans fluid, I used 'Castrol Trans Z'

I bought it from supercheap auto for I think $50 for 4 litres.

Cheers,

Rod
