vacuum pumps - 1hz vs 1hdt

evening gents.

It appears im in the market for a 2nd hand vacuum pump for my 91 hdj80. I was wondering if anyone could definitively say that the 1hz vac pump will fit/work with the 1hdt.

The reason I ask is that I'm sure the 1hdt vac pumps will be harder to find (only rung a few wreckers today, will ring more tomorrow). I have checked out the relative part on toyodiy.com and the part is listed for both 1hdt and 1hz. There are 2 versions that I can tell.. one has 3 blades and the other 5. I know I have a 5 blade as I've replaced them only recently. It appears there is some issue with mine where the blades seem to be getting chopped up, therefore loosing vacuum under idle.

Also, any issue using a 3 blade vs a 5 blade vac pump?

Any info that will help finding a 2nd hand unit is appreciated.

My listings show only one part number for the pump assy for all 1HZ and 1HD engines from 1990 - 2007. PN 29300-17010.

3 blade pumps were used from 1990/01 - 1994/05.
5 blade pumps were used from 1994/05 - 2007.

There was a recall for vacuum pumps at one stage IIRC...maybe it was to replace the 3 blade units with 5?.

Anyway, looks like you can use anything off an 80 or 100.
